Historical Institutional Child Abuse Survey on Services to Victims and Survivors 2024

Overview

This survey is only for victims and survivors of historical institutional child abuse and is hosted on CitizenSpace. We hope it will help us gather your views on services. Services include support you get from doctors, hospitals and other supports, such as specialist services. The Office of the Commissioner will use this information to talk about your needs and priorities with government and other relevant services.

You can complete this online by clicking ‘Start the Survey’ on this page, or you can call the Office of the Commissioner on 028 9054 4985 and we will help you complete it over the phone. You can also email info@cosica-ni.org to arrange for a telephone call. The Office can refer you to available supports if needed.

Thank you for taking the time to do this survey. It will take about 15-20 minutes. The survey is anonymous and will be open initially for three months. We will not ask for any personal or identifying details.

What happens next

The Commissioner may publish papers, guides and media releases informed by the results of the survey, to let government officials and others know about the service needs of victims and survivors of historical institutional childhood abuse.
