This facility is for the use of the Advice Sector, Public Representatives, Housing Associations and Voluntary Groups acting on behalf of people in Northern Ireland only.
It will help expedite the escalation referral if an application to Discretionary Support has already been made using the online form which can be accessed at: Claim Discretionary Support | nidirect
Please use the referral form to tell us about the person who needs help from Finance Support. This escalation referral can be used for the following provisions:
- Discretionary Support applications for living expenses or items
- Universal Credit New Claims Grant
- Short Term Benefit Advances
- COVID-19 grants
- Budgeting Loans
- Sure Start Maternity Grants
When you submit your referral Finance Support staff will endeavour to contact the person referred within two working days.
If you encounter any issues with the referral service please contact management through normal channels.
