Framework for Race Relations Consultation Easy Read

Overview

What is the draft Framework for Race Relations?

The Framework is a plan for how we will work together to make where we live fairer for everyone, no matter their race or ethnicity.

The Racial Equality Strategy (2015-2025) was the most recent plan but it ended in December 2025.

This new Framework sets out what happens next.

Why do we need it?

Our society is more diverse now with people from all different cultures living here. We want everyone to feel safe, valued and included in everyday life.

However, racism and inequality is still a problem. This plan aims to help communities overcome race related issues and ensure everyone has the right to live peacefully and thrive.
