HSENI Health Surveillance Survey

Overview

The Manufacturing Team within HSENI will soon be conducting a new inspection initiative focusing on "Health Surveillance". In advance of this initiative which is due to commence in 2025, a survey is being conducted to gather information about the current status of Health Surveillance in the workplace across the manufacturing industry in Northern Ireland.

Why your views matter

The aim of the survey is to get a feel for the general awareness and uptake of Health Surveillance programmes in the workplace. The responses gathered from this survey will enable HSENI to identify a baseline for compliance with respect to Health Surveillance. Your responses will also help to to highlight where additional guidance for industry would be useful in advance of carrying out our initiative inspections.

Please note - the responses received to this survey will not influence any decisions made by HSENI regarding enforcement action against your company, however, failure to complete the survey may result in your premises being prioritized for a site visit and inspection during the course of our Health Surveillance initiative. The decision to visit your premesis will also depend on the overall level of response received and HSENI staff and resource availability at the time.

What happens next

HSENI will review the findings of this survey and use the results to aid our upcoming initiaitve. Further information on this initiaive will be released onto our website and social media pages in the coming months.
