CYPSP Regional Offending Sub-Group
Overview
The Regional Offending sub-group of the Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership was re-established in early 2022. It held its first meeting on 16 May 2022 and has met on four further occasions.
Organisations with an interest in reducing offending and re-offending among young people were invited to nominate an individual to participate in the sub-group. The sub-group has four stated roles:
- Sharing information and good practice on reducing offending and re-offending by children;
- Acting as a ‘critical friend’ in the development and delivery of strategy by organisations working in the youth justice sector;
- Reviewing opportunities to work more collaboratively and effectively across and within sectors; and
- Providing advice to the CYPSP on issues associated with offending by children and potential links to other areas of interest to the CYPSP.
