A sustainable, regional approach to the production, storage, transport and use of hydrogen as a fuel.
Overview
Hydrogen can play a role in decarbonising power, provide energy storage and security and create economic opportunities through the development of new technologies and skills needed to serve this market on a global scale.
DfE has developed a consultation on a sustainable, regional approach to the production, storage, transport and use of hydrogen as a fuel. There is also consideration of the regulatory framework for hydrogen in NI, and development of the hydrogen sector. The consultation looks at some of the barriers in these areas and offers preferred policy positions to address them.
Why your views matter
DfE wants to hear your views on local hydrogen policy. You have an opportunity to provide feedback on preferred policy positions and shape the development of hydrogen policy.
There are questions related to the contents of the consultation as well as other questions that will help us to analyse the responses. Please see the Gas Team Privacy Notice attached in the information provided in the survey, for details of how we handle information.
