Not all questions in the Application Form are scored but to comply with the Department's business case approval process, and to ensure a thorough assessment of your proposal, it is important that all questions are answered satisfactorily.
To support this approach, character limits have been introduced across all narrative response fields. Responses to 10‑point questions are limited to 10,000 characters (approximately 1700 - 1900 words), and responses to 5‑point questions are limited to 5,000 characters (approximately 850 - 950 words). Non-scoring questions are limited to 10,000 characters. These limits help ensure that applicants provide focused and relevant information, enabling assessors to apply the scoring criteria in a fair, transparent and consistent manner.
The Department reserves the right to remove applications that have not fully followed this process.
Applicants who do not meet the Essential Criteria will not be eligible to apply.
Please ensure that you refer to the Guidance Document and Scoring Matrix when completing this Application Form and throughout the application process.
