Public Consultation “Every House Matters: a new approach to tackling social housing tenancy fraud and misuse”
Overview
The Department for Communities is seeking views on a proposed new approach to tackling social housing tenancy fraud and misuse in Northern Ireland.
Consultation description
The consultation aims to inform the development of an overarching strategic framework and to consider whether existing legislation should be strengthened to better prevent, detect and address fraud. The overall aim is to get better at identifying tenancy fraud, improve how cases are investigated and help prevent fraud from taking place.
Several questions are posed throughout this document to help you consider the options available. Your views will play an essential role in shaping the new approach to tackling tenancy fraud and misuse. As far as possible, for analysis purposes, we encourage you to submit your feedback through Citizen Space. If, however, you are unable to respond by this method you may also respond by email or in writing using the email/postal address below.
The Department has also published its Equality Impact Screening document as part of this screening.
The information you provide in completing this survey will be controlled and processed in line with Data Protection Legislation by the Department for Communities (DfC) and its Communications Unit. To find out more about how we handle your personal information, DfC’s Privacy Notice can be viewed online at DfC Privacy Notice.
In order to facilitate the survey, Citizen Space, which is not operated by DfC, is used as a data processor. The NI Government Citizen Space Privacy Policy can be viewed here.
