Sport NI Athlete Award Programme Review 2017- 2023

Overview

The Athlete Award programme investment aims to help ‘Our (NI) athletes be among the best in the World’, by targeting athletes who have the potential to achieve success and excel in Olympics, Paralympics and Commonwealth Games.

For the 2017-23 period our Athlete Awards supported 235 individual athletes and 4 team sports, with 54 athletes transitioning onto Sport Ireland's Carding Scheme or UK Sport’s Athlete Personal Awards (APA).

The aim of this questionnaire is to help us gather information from the sports  sector on their view of the programme. Your information is invaluable in helping us get a better understanding of your views on the application stage, assessment stage and will allow us to get a better understanding of 'need'.
