Commission on Work & Wellbeing Stakeholder Co-Design Workshop
Thursday 26th March 2026
at the Stormont Hotel, 587 Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast, BT4 3LP
from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm (registration from 9.15 am)
The Department for Communities is leading a Transformation Project that will integrate local employability, health, and community supports, to improve health and employment outcomes for people, and deliver greater prosperity for Northern Ireland.
In partnership with the Department of Health and the Department for the Economy, our aim is to build a more personalised and integrated system of local delivery – one that supports more people to move into and remain in meaningful employment, whilst improving overall wellbeing and contributing to Northern Ireland’s long-term prosperity.
Partnership working and practical delivery will be central to the success of this Project – working collaboratively across the public, private, and voluntary and community sectors to co-design, co-deliver and evaluate ‘Proof of Concept’ activity that tests new models of integrated, health-focused employability support.
Employer Co-design Session
Employers form a vital component of any success, in both offering employment opportunities, but also in supporting staff to remain in work, through early intervention and preventative responses.
As an essential first step, the Project is delivering a dedicated session for employers, to tap into insights surrounding your needs and the needs of your staff, to better support health-related employee retention and workplace practices.
