Survey on Teacher Recruitment and Retention in Northern Ireland
Overview
The recruitment and retention of qualified teachers in certain subjects have become increasingly difficult across Northern Ireland. Whilst the Department acknowledges this trend, we currently lack concrete data to accurately assess the extent and impact of this issue. The Department therefore now wishes to undertake a comprehensive survey across all schools in Northern Ireland.
The primary aim of this survey is to gather precise information on the challenges schools are facing in recruiting and retaining teachers.
