Special Schools Curriculum Working Group - Expressions of Interest
Overview
The Department of Education is inviting expressions of interest from Special Educational Needs practitioners to be a part of the Special Schools Curriculum Working group.
The Working Group will lead the development and drafting of a bespoke curriculum strand for pupils with moderate, severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties within a special school context, ensuring that the curriculum is informed by robust research evidence, specialist professional expertise and the practical realities of teaching and learning in special schools.
The Special Schools Curriculum will provide a needs-led framework that reflects the diverse developmental profiles of pupils in special schools, supporting accessible and meaningful learning matched to each pupil’s needs.
