CONSULTATION ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A NEW ORGANISATION TO SUPPORT CONTROLLED SCHOOLS
Overview
INTRODUCTION
The Department would like to hear your views and feedback on its policy proposals to establish, through new legislation, the statutory framework for a new organisation to support controlled schools.
This public consultation will form part of a wide ranging and targeted engagement with schools, parents, young people, other government Departments, teacher unions, key interest groups and other stakeholders.
We strongly advise everyone to read the accompanying, ‘Establishment of a new organisation to support Controlled schools consultation document', prior to completing this questionnaire. This can be found at the Department's website.
Equality and Rural Screening
As set out in the Department of Education’s Equality Scheme, and in order to comply with the Rural Needs Act (Northern Ireland) 2016, these policy proposals have been subject to an Equality Screening.
The documents indicate that there are no adverse impacts in relation to the policy proposals. As part of this consultation, we welcome any comments on the Equality Screening.
