Department of Education - 16-18 Legislation - Children and Young People
Overview
We are the Department of Education and we would like to hear your views on changes to the law.
The Department of Education is a government department in Northern Ireland which oversees everything that happens in school and youth services. We work to improve the wellbeing of children and young people and make sure you get the best learning experience possible.
We want to know what you think about making changes to the law. These changes would mean that all young people are required to stay in education, apprenticeship or training until the age of 18.
What happens next
After the close of the consultation period, all responses received will be analysed and a report prepared summarising the findings.
