Curriculum-Led Capital Programme - Pitch Provision in Post Primary Schools

Overview

Post primary schools are invited to submit applications of interest to establish a synthetic pitch in the grounds of their school funded through the Curriculum-led Capital Programme.

Why your views matter

Earlier this year the Department collected information on the availability synthetic pitches across the schools’ estate. We are now launching a formal call for applications.

If your school already has a synthetic pitch (either a full size or training pitch) that is not shared with another school, it will not currently be eligible for the programme. 

Schools with existing grass or gravel pitches can apply to have their pitches upgraded.

Schools with major works projects and school enhancement projects announced or in planning but not under construction may also apply for a pitch through this programme.

What happens next

All returns should be submitted by 28 November 2025.
