Independent Expert Carers Panel - Expression of Interest (Reform of Adult Care and Support)

Closed 10 Aug 2018

Opened 11 Jun 2018

Overview

An Independent Expert Carers Panel will be established as part of the Reform of Adult Care and Support being undertaken by the Department of Health (DoH).

We are seeking to recruit informal carers to the Panel, who have had experience, within the past five years, of providing unpaid care, for a family member, relative, friend or neighbour within Northern Ireland.

The aim of the Panel will be to ensure the voice of the informal carer is involved at all levels of the decision making and advisory structures established within the Project.

This online form is for the Expression of Interest only - background information on the Panel (including Membership Specification, Terms of Reference and Recruitment pack with guidance for applicants) is available on the DoH website (see 'IECP Member Recruitment' link below).

For more details or support with this online application, you can contact the DoH Reform Team:

What Happens Next

A recruitment panel comprising representatives from the DoH, the PHA and a carer representative will consider all Expressions of Interest.  A selection process will be implemented using the criteria outlined in the Membership Specification and candidates will be invited to meet with the recruitment panel before any appointments are made.

We anticipate that all applicants will be informed of the decision by the end of September 2018.
