Overview

The Programme

The NI Cyberbase Programme 2021 is an opportunity for your organisation to gain access to professionals in cyber response, to assess your organisations level of preparedness and support to help you further develop your cyber response capability.

The programme is being delivered by Business Consultancy Services (BCS) and has been developed with the support and cyber security expertise from NI Cyber Security Centre (NICSC), in conjunction with Local Government Civil Contingencies, and National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC)

What has happened to date?

  • Baseline assessment for NI - This was completed with 38 registrant organisations from across private and public sectors;
  • Cyber Awareness event took place on 2nd March 2021 with ten guest speakers and over 100 attendees from a variety of organisations.

What next? Your organisation can book their free exercising event.

Organisations who have registered for the programme, have provided baseline information and already have CIRP in place are now invited to participate in a facilitated scenario based exercise event.

The virtual event will be three hours in duration and will include approximately two hours of safe, private and confidential exercising with a dedicated facilitator for your organisation.  The event will be supported by cyber security subject matter experts from NICSC and NCSC.

All information will be treated in the strictest confidence and only be available to NICSC and BCS as part of this programme. Reporting on this exercise will follow ICO recommendations on anonymising data.

More information on the exercising events

Exercising your cyber incident response plan helps organisations to establish how resilient they are to a cyber attack and practice their response in a safe environment. Exercising helps to create a culture of learning within an organisation and provides an opportunity for relevant teams and individuals to maximise their effectiveness during an incident.

We have included an agenda and FAQ's and should you have any further questions please contact a member of the team at  NICyberbase@finance-ni.gov.uk and we will be happy to help.
