Energy and Carbon Data Repository (ECDR) Project – Online Survey

Closed 19 Aug 2022

Opened 2 Aug 2022

The Department for the Economy (DfE) is currently preparing to initiate a procurement process to establish a multi-year contract for the provision of a software solution through which energy consumption and cost data will be collected directly from utility suppliers across all departments.

The basic premise of this new solution is that as utility suppliers provide invoices (monthly or quarterly, depending on the utility) in a suitably standardised format to customers, the procured software solution will then read the data, extract the consumption and cost information and display this on a secure web based platform for users to review and report on a flexible basis, e.g. by meter, building, estate etc.

Energy consumption will also be used to calculate carbon emissions which will aid in the standardisation of reporting in line with the requirements of the NI Climate Change Act 2022.

Why your views matter

The survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete, and your participation would be greatly appreciated. This survey will remain open until midnight on 19th August 2022.

The responses will inform the procurement of the new software and help DfE to understand the means by which energy, cost and carbon data is currently collected and processed by your organisation and the potential level of utilisation of the new solution across NICS.
