Overview

The Department for Communities (DfC), working with Belfast City Council, are committed to delivering public realm improvements in Belfast city centre. The Five Cs Public Realm Project comprises Chichester Street, Callender Street, College Court, College Street and College Avenue, and it is from these streets that the project takes its name. The areas to be improved are illustrated on the attached map.

The overall aim of the improvements is to make the project area a more attractive, safer, cleaner, more interesting place within the city centre. The improvements that are being considered include:

  • New high quality stone paved surfaces
  • New lighting
  • New seating
  • More trees and plants
