Opened 12 Feb 2018

Overview

Wildfires are a threat to people, property, wildlife and the countryside. To help address the issue of wildfires in Northern Ireland we aim to develop an agreed and co-ordinated strategic inter-governmental way forward by identifying priorities and initiatives to reduce the number of wildfires in the countryside and to reduce impacts on the environment and communities when such incidents occur.

Why We Are Consulting

To assist with this work we are seeking the views of government departments, stakeholders and the public in relation to wildfires and how this cost to society and the environment could be tackled.

This consultation has been funded by the Department of Justice’s Assets Community Scheme.
